(Simultaneous English-French translation will be provided during the session)

Exceptional timing at 11:00-12:00

ADEME presents its updated energy and climate scenario for 2035-2050. The ambitious targets set by the French government to deal with climate issues and the work to be done in the short-term by 2035. Suggested practical measures to be put in place are related to this scenario. Two pioneering regions of France have been invited to present the actions they are taking: The Hauts-de-France region which is running its Third Energy Revolution/Third Industrial Revolution and the Occitanie region which is working towards its Positive Energy Region (REPOS) target.

To identify the issues and synergies of these visions at the international scale, the Institut du développement durable et des relations internationales (IDDRI) (Institute of Sustainable development and International Relations) offers some thoughts about the work on sustainable development targets it supports with other countries.
